They Wish They Were Us {Jessica Goodman}

They Wish They Were UsThey Wish They Were Us by Jessica Goodman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I am a huge fan of any book that centers around a bunch of privileged prep school teenagers. Throw in some good drama, and I am all in. This book checks all those boxes! I loved these characters so much. Even though they were in high school, I often felt like I was reading a college-aged story instead. The characters were well developed, and the plot was a perfect combination of perplex and easy to follow.

I did feel the ending was very predictable, but there was enough in the book to keep you second-guessing yourself - making the ending enjoyable. I was thrown off a few times, so I was still a tiny bit surprised when the end was revealed.

This was a new author for me, but I enjoyed this book enough to keep an eye out for more books.

That Was a Long Break

Well, my break lasted much (MUCH) longer than I ever had planned. I thought I'd take a month or so off, watch some Netflix, and then return. But, life apparently happened.

But I never stopped reading or reviewing. I've just been doing most of my reviews on my Instagram account or on my Goodreads page. But I'm back and ready to share my reviews on here as well.

As in the past, my books will come from a variety of sources - purchased books, library books, and publisher copies. If a book was gifted to me to accommodate my review I will always disclose such.

I hope you enjoy my reading journey!
