Without Warning {Lynette Eason}

without warning lynette eason
Katie Singleton, a partner with the Elite Guardians Protection Agency, stumbles upon her next assignment quite by accident. Spotting blue lights at a familiar restaurant, she stops to investigate, only to discover that owner Daniel Matthews has become the target of someone who will go to any lengths to put him out of business.

Daniel might be concerned, but he's not convinced that a bodyguard--and a female one at that--is necessary. A new attack and his niece's urgings are enough to make him reconsider. He and Katie must figure out who's behind the intimidation and threats--before a would-be killer strikes again.

My Thoughts:
Two books in and this series is turning out to be a must-read for sure. In this book we get to know Katie better and the story behind her inclusion in the Elite Guardians Protection Agency. Katie has a background as an arson investigator, but a tragedy has left her with PTSD and a new career protecting those in danger.

Katie comes across as a very caring lady, willing to do anything for those around her. She is very aware of the feelings of those she comes in contact with, and this plays to her advantage in her work with the protection agency. This also comes in handy as she meets Daniel and must risk her life to protect his.

Daniel is very well off but works hard anyway. He is raising his niece after the death of this brother and his wife, and it is obvious the relationship Daniel has with his niece is very special. Daniel is a former Marine who has found his life in danger but has no idea why.

Daniel is very reluctant to hire the protection agency, but his niece finally convinces him he needs them around. However, as the book progresses, it is obvious Daniel needs the protection and the relationship that appears to be forming with Katie.

The relationship between Katie and Daniel seems so natural and meant to be. The two of them seem perfect for each other, and I could not wait to see if they would end up together as this book wrapped up. I was also on pins and needles to see who was causing all the havoc in Daniel's life. The identity completely shocked me!

This is a must read and will keep you up late at night to find out how it will all end. Put it on your reading list for sure.
