Wee Read Wednesday: God Bless Our Country

god bless our country hannah hall
Get ready for picnics and parades! Hannah C. Hall writes sweet and silly rhymes to show children American values and observe patriotism. Enjoy the Fourth of July and other holidays with fireworks, parades, picnics, and all the fun things families do together to honor America.

Our Thoughts:
Regardless of what is going on in the world, pride for our country is something we should be teaching our children from a young age. We are fortunate to live in America – land of the free – and this book is a great way to introduce that conversation to your little ones.

With the familiar rhyming we have grown to love from the “God Bless Our” series, my kids get to walk through a summer of swimming, picnics, fireworks, and love for our country. My daughter can read this to my son, and they have used it as a starting point for fun imaginative play as well.

I appreciate the animals throughout the story who have so much fun during their summer but remember to thank God for allowing them to live in a free country. Something we all need to do each and every day.
