Can I just move to Galveston and become friends with all of Janice Thompson's characters? I love Janice's books so much, and The Icing on the Cake is no exception.
Book two in the Weddings by Design series, this book focuses on Scarlet. Scarlet owns the local bakery and is best friends with Hannah (the photographer we fell in love with in book one). Of course Bella, and the entire Rossi clan, is here again and I just love them so much.
We met Armando in previous books, but he really gets to come toward center stage in this book and we get to know much more about him. We learn that he is not the person that we have always thought of him to be.
As always, Janice brings us a great story with another amazing message from God. This time we learn that God loves us just how we are - no matter what. We learn to reach for our goals, and then set them higher.
I can always count on getting lost in a Janice Thompson book and was not disappointed in this one. In fact, I read it in one day!
If you are not familiar with Janice Thompson's series, I do suggest you start at the beginning with the Weddings by Bella series. This is where we met many of the central characters in the Weddings by Design books.
